Join us on May 7th for CNAR’s next Virtual Discussion event of 2024 exploring hot topics in AI and technology.
A panel will discuss issues, challenges, trends, and opportunities regulators and professions are grappling with about the responsible use of A.I. and technology. Topic areas for discussion may include but not be limited to:
Keeping up with the times: Providing guidance to, and setting expectations for, registrants about the responsible use of A.I., in a context of rapid technological change.
Preparing future professionals: Identifying and understanding competencies related to A.I., technology, and digital information for entry into a profession.
Navigating shifting work and roles: Grappling with the impacts of A.I. and technology on the workforce and professional practice and implications for regulators’ role.
Panelists are:

Len Polsky, Manager, Legal Technology and Mentorship, Law Society of Alberta
Manal Kleib, Associate Professor, Faculty of Nursing, University of Alberta
The conversation will be facilitated by Julie Sobowale, law and technology journalist.
